Newk’s Story

2004

Newk’s Eatery was founded in Oxford, Mississippi

2005

We opened our first Franchised store.

2008

“Top 10 New Restaurant Concepts” by Restaurant Chains Magazine.

2009

“Top 5000 Fastest Growing Companies.” by Inc. Magazine’s

2010

Named among the Nation's top "Growing Concepts" by Nation's Restaurant News.

2011

We opened 14 new Newk's units throughout this year, a record thus far for our development team.

2012

Newk's was named among the "Top 10 Best Franchises" in QSR Magazine and among Technomic's "Top 150 Fast-Casual Chains."

2013

In 2013, we changed our name to Newk's Eatery, and introduced a fresh, new design to our stores. Our classic family recipes, however, remained unchanged. We opened an additional 14 units this year.

2014-2017

Newk's was named among Fast Casual's "Top 20 Movers & Shakers" and "25 Smartest Growing Brands" by Franchise Times. Newk's was named one of Nation's Restaurant News' "20 Standout Brands."
